Suverchala Kashyap

Suverchala Kashyap is an accomplished educationist, communicator and journalist. She has a versatile background, with a dual masters degree in botany and education, topped with a diploma in journalism and communication. She has been instrumental in defining a large part of the career goals of several students at school and university levels. She was the founder principal of a reputed school in Vadodara, having taken it to national and international heights. She has nurtured a personal and professional dream, by focusing on extracting and chiseling the inherent talents of individuals: students, parents and teachers. She has also served as a working journalist for nearly ten years, adding a certain objectivity and creativity to the overall repertoire of her work. She has authored several articles on social and environment issues as well as education that have been published in newspapers and magazines such as The Indian Express, Times of India, The Tribune, Down to Earth and Humanscape. She is a founder partner & CEO of Intelliscape EdVentures, an educational firm. She is currently also the coordinator for Via, an NGO based in Berlin, Germany. She is also working closely with Daksh Autism Services, Bangalore, as their Gujarat counterpart and advisor. She has worked with the teachers of a school for blind children, training and redesigning their academic plan. She has conducted teacher training workshops as well as student workshops across India, Nepal & Sri Lanka. She has been a mentor at the Katha writers workshop for students at the regional & national level for the last four years. She is also a mentor for creative writing at Bal Bhavan. She is an avid blogger and can be followed @ suverchala-gulfishaan.blogspot.in. She has just published her book called Sunk in amber: dewdrops amidst rain, an anthology of poems.

One of her protégés, 13 year old Prem Patel has also published a book, a short novella called Destiny's Ride: take it or leave it. She has also recently edited the book the Alpha Yeti by Sum.
