Katha, the profit-for-all voluntary organization, is looking for PEOPLE! We have been working with children and women since 1990 and have strong links with the 54 communities we work with.

Katha also works at the leading edge in culturelinking, literary translation and publishing. We see translation as a non-divisive tool for the country as a whole. Uncommon creativities for a common good is our motto.

katha is a registered nonprofit organization.

For School Teachers

Katha and its academic centres train more than 10,000 students and teachers annually, nationwide. These workshops help build better human relationship skills, through a close study of literature.

Now, the Katha National Institute of Translation offers you special packages that you can enroll for your school. This will enable you to excite your students into peer learning and mentor activities, as well as into taking control over their own learning.

When you opt for the Katha Club at your school, your teachers and students get to choose a range of exciting activities - either formally organized courses that lead to Katha Certificate courses, fun activities or workshops to be held every month in your school.

Katha Clubs has three significant components:

· APEX

· C9 Ring of Excellence: The Faculty Club

· The Sishya Club

APEX- Alliance of Principals for Excellence where the principals get together to keep the fire of academic excellence burning!

BRIDGE: Beyond Research Inter- disciplinary Group for Excellence. The members of BRIDGE will have a bimonthly roundtable that explores and effects ways of keeping the school as the wellspring of knowledge.

C9 Ring of Excellence: The Faculty Club: Members of the Faculty Club will be offered a range of activities that foster culturelinking and ideas of excellence and purnashiksha or holistic education in cross-disciplinary ways. Members will perform the role of facilitators and help their teachers create cross- and inter- disciplinary spaces in their institutions for rethinking creativity and excellence.

For the teachers, staff members and librarians, exclusive workshops related to innovative pedagogical and academic goals shall be organized. The teachers will participate in a series of six monthly activities organized by Katha and each participating school will host one activity.
